National Assembly of Cameroon: the re-election of CAVAYE YEGUIE Djibril
CAVAYE Yeguie Djibril, candidate of the Democratic Rally of the Cameroonian People (RDPC, ruling party), was reappointed, Monday in Yaoundé, president of the Cameroonian National Assembly.

Of the 159 ballots and signatures, CAVAYE Yeguie Djibril obtained 146 votes against.
“It is a choice that reflects the consensus which is one of the democratic principles (…) I would like to take up the challenge of this presidency entrusted to me”, declared CAVAYE Yeguie Djibril, after his election.
He also announced some major actions that he intends to undertake during this 2023-2024 legislature. This is the modernization of the National Assembly by providing it with innovative means to legislate effectively; the establishment of an ad hoc committee for the preparation of the budget of the National Assembly for the year 2023 in an inclusive and participatory approach;
“May this mandate, which continues with my election, be put under the prism of a real parliamentary family, a driving force for strengthening social cohesion, a crucible of plural expression which has its source in our political, ethnic and religious diversity . »
“For this new mandate at the perch, I will be for all, the President of the National Assembly, listening to all, without distinction” at the end of his re-election at the head of the lower house Cavaye Yeguie Djibril has-t- he recommends.
It should be noted that of the 180 deputies in the National Assembly, 152 are members of the parliamentary group.
